Turkey CHEW (if chili and stew had a baby)

Another crockpot recipe! I’m really trying to take advantage of this handy creation! It cooks, I sleep-done deal!
It’s a spicy one so if you cannot handle spice tone it down or omit the cayenne pepper and frank’s hot sauce!

Turkey “CHEW” (what you get when Chili and Stew have a baby)

-1 and 1/2 lb lean ground turkey (or beef)
-3 cups organic chicken broth
-2 medium potatoes or sweet potatoes, chopped
-3 large mushrooms, sliced
-1/2 cup orange bell pepper, chopped
-1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
-2 large carrots, chopped
*-1/4 cup green onion, chopped (if you do not suffer with IBS, feel free to use a whole small onion, diced, and 1-2 cloves of garlic, minced)
-1 heaping tbsp of minced green jalapeño
-1 tsp frank’s red hot sauce
-1 and 1/2 tsp oregano
-1 tsp crushed red pepper
-1 tsp cayenne pepper
-1/2 tsp cumin
-1/2 tsp crushed mixed peppercorn
-1/2 tsp jerk seasoning
-1/2 tsp ground ginger
-1/4 tsp sea salt

-Brown meat first in a skillet (with your onions and garlic if using)
-Transfer to crockpot after ~6 minutes of browning. Add all other ingredients, and stir.
-Let cook on low for 8 hours

•Makes 6 servings
